There are more indices with an economic and industrial profession. The Cyber Security Index allows to assess the evolution of risk and threat perception among cybersecurity professionals.
This is a private initiative. This index is based on questionnaires that focus on five variables around which questions are built: attack actors, weapons, desired effects, targets, defenses.
The combination of responses leads to the monthly production of an index based on 1000 that measures the level of security/perception of insecurity. The higher the index, the higher the perceived risk.
The cybersecurity intelligence index is an annual report on the status of threats (cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, etc.) rather than a directory. This study provides an overview of the main threats the company's customers have faced over the past year.
That's why the index tries to create a threat map: attack categories, nature of victim companies, distribution of attacks, source of attacks, etc.
The Cybersecurity Directory aims to tell customers which threats they need to protect against. This index is updated daily by researchers, and threats are classified into 4 levels: low to medium; above average; high; low.

The Cyber Vulnerability Index is a report on corporate vulnerabilities. Like IBM, the purpose of the approach is commercial. It is necessary to first prepare a threat table, and then, in the second step, propose solutions to deal with them.
The Breach Level Directory is a website that provides an inventory of data breach-type events (database theft, identity theft, etc.).
For each incident, an online database can be searched providing the name of the affected company, the date of the incident, the number of data affected, the country, the industry sector, the source of the attack and the type of breach. Based on these data, statistical reports are published every 6 months.
The Microsoft Computing Security Index evaluates online security behavior and use of online security tools. It consists of responses to a survey. Security is rated according to the 20 steps users must take to keep themselves safe.
The index is a decision-making tool for decision makers, providing information on the levels of exposure to cyber risks in nearly forty countries. The service also provides a platform to view data, figures and qualitative studies.
Financial Performance of Cyber Security Companies
Stock market indexes dedicated to stocks in the cybersecurity sector have emerged in the United States in recent months.
The Cyber Security Index, created by the International Stock Exchange, is based on 34 cybersecurity companies traded on the stock exchange, which reflects the stock market performance.
The performance of companies with cyber security activities is monitored. It is also built on the basis of 34 values.
Cybersecurity tips or indicators are both new and relatively few in number, at least in terms of what we can identify.
They now take their place alongside a number of other indices and security indicators related to political, economic and social objects.
These cyber indices or indicators raise many questions:
• What is the purpose of the developed indicator?
• What will be measured? A State's level of cybersecurity?
• If so, how is this level defined?
• How is cybersecurity defined?
• Should we prefer a quantitative or qualitative approach?
Once definitions have been established and objectives have been set, the nature of the data collected, sources, processing methods, analysis or calculation methods needs to be questioned.

Therefore, each type of indicator will have its own benefit, even if they sometimes seem to converge on some points. But rankings sometimes offer interesting results.
Note that indices are also at the junction of the two logics. These are mostly the result of aggregation of several sub-indicators. But they can in turn be integrated as more global security index variables.
Indices are good for details. Here, scores or indices assigned to each country based on five variables allow highlighting major global trends and capacity distribution.
Law is often better handled in the world than technical, organizational, capacity or cooperation issues. International cooperation is the weak link of cybersecurity policies.
This observation is important in itself for the way States manage cybersecurity. It may be an object that falls primarily within the scope of national law and jurisdiction.
In this logic, Europe appears to be a leader ahead of America and Asia. Therefore, these indicators offer us a perspective through the prism of the international scene's cybersecurity issues.
